Amazing Lynchburg Wedding Venue

Looking for the perfect wedding venue?

As a new wedding photographer to the Lynchburg area I was very interested to see what wedding venue’s this town has to offer. I was excited to be able to attend an open house at Terrace View by the James

Hail stones included! I thought to myself, “Great, I’m going to get soaked just getting to the building!” But when are arrived at the Bank of the James building which is where the venue is on the 20th floor I was pleasantly surprised to find a parking garage attached to the building. I parked, got out and walked to the elavator COMPLETELY DRY. No parking headaches for guests or a bride and groom on the wedding day. Big perk in my book for a downtown wedding!

Inside I was really excited to see the location. It is a very unique wedding venue due to the fact you have two spacious areas to chose from. The 8th floor holds the amazing Terrace View. With the indoor area being completely comfortable for guest no matter what the weather but it also allows you to have a Terrace wedding. On a beautiful spring or summer day this must be amazing.

Union Station Wedding-Lynchburg Va Wedding Photographer

A beautiful bride, a smiling groom, ruffles and lace and a very nervous photographer turned out to be a good combinations.

When I first was contacted by Kristy, we hit it off really well. As she described their wedding plans I was really excited. Everything sounds beautiful. Then she told me where they were going to have the ceremony. Union Station in Nashville. Yikes!! {Knees knocking.} Every wedding brings with it nerves for different reasons. Mostly, never wanting to disappoint my brides. So lots of work and planning goes into each wedding, on my part so that no “problem” will arise on my end. Union Station was no small task.

The Union Station is an amazing hotel and very impressive from the outside as well.

Not only is Kristy beautiful but talented as well. She made her own veil and train. The wind played with it perfectly for these pictures too!

I this is my favorite photo of the whole beautiful wedding. While get her makeup done I introduced Kristy to pinterest.com which she may never forgive me for :-) {I know, it is addicting!!}

Finally, the unique table decorations which told us all what we could see from their wedding. Congratulations to a very sweet couple!!!

I love the look, feel and design of this photo!!

This shot came from a Pinterest idea that I had seen. We worked closely together to bring out the look. Great job by Galilee with the makeup! Necklase by the fabulous Fleur de Lis! 

It wasn’t exactly what I had seen but that was ok. It was my starting point.
